However, vegetarian diets are no guarantee of a healthy weight. Convenience vegetarian foods can be just as fattening as non-vegetarian foods - in fact some vegetarian products and recipes may contain more fat than meat-based foods. Over-consumption of these high-calorie convenience foods or 'vegetarian' fast-food leads to weight gain just like meat-based foods. So be careful. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:arial;font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:arial;font-size:130%;"&gt;I suggest eating raw vegetables and fruits as much as possible rather than cooked food. And in a months time you will see a difference. Do make sure that you wash your produce very well before consuming them. If you have a vegetable washer it's best to use it. Do also understand that with this new diet, you will only lose weight up to your normal body weight. So meaning if you are meant to be 110 pounds, you will stay 110 pounds. You can lose a pound or two but nothing dramatic. But if you are 30 pounds overweight and stick to the vegetarian diet you will go back to your normal weight.
